Hi Judi!

Sorry, I've been off since Wednesday last week. Had to go to the hospital on Thursday afternoon since my doc had a suspicion about an inflamed appendix. Eek, I felt awful, was sick and my tummy ached horribly. I'm glad that in the end it wasn't anything serious but I had to stay in hospital till Sat. morning. I called in sick today and will stay at home till Wednesday, Thursday is a public holiday and Friday I have a day off, so enough time to get better.

Since Miguel caught a cold (again) he's staying at home with me and we're having a nice mom-kid time.

Breakfast:
shared white wheat roll w/ a tad butter and liverwurst with DS
half a cup of hot chocolate

Lunch:
half a potatoe w/ gravy and a bite of pork cutlet
1 banana
1 yog w/ cereal

Snack:
piece of chocolate

Dinner:
2 table spoons of zucchini omelett
1 white wheat toast w/ a little butter

Have a great week!

This day has been just a little too much for me. First a matter came up that I thought had been settled years ago when my mother's estate was settled and although we were doing a favor for someone else, we ended up having to pay the cost or be as big a jerk as they were. We took the high road, but sometimes you wish you had the nerve to be the super jerk.

Then since no good deed shall go unpunished, my report from the doctor is that I have to go under the knife again. He sounded positive, but this is the first time a report has come back saying "cancerous" for me and I am not happy about it.

And I can't have any doughnuts or cake or any comfort food because I really decided to be good today. Diane, hate to hear you are sick too. Izzy, you are so sweet. Judi, you are so lucky with your gambling. Love your car stories too. LOL

Coffee and milk
banana
vanilla yogurt

3 slices ham
2 slices whitewheat
all of an orange except the rotten spot on the end--I cut that off
Coffee and milk

I had three points for breakfast, 5 points for lunch, so I am working on a 10 point dinner. I will let you know if I make it. I can go five more points if I need to.

NCN, sorry about the report!!! Do you already know when you have to go under the knife?
It's always the same with good people. Somehow most of them end up being the jerks. I know what you're talking about and I'm really sorry!

Lacey, the willpower left yesterday. Today continues and I asked for a mallow cup when Mr. Va went to the post office. Floor in the bathroom is being ripped up again because although we had given the contractor the order for the vanity, he did the floor for a different size and I am wondering why they don't do the whole floor and put the vanity in on top of it. The dressers in our bedroom all go on a finished floor. Sometimes you wonder if men have a brain. Right now I am ready to knock the heads of my husband and contractor together and see if it would equal one brain. If you did the whole floor and decided to buy another vanity, you could just install it and the floor would stay the same. The bathroom fixtures come in from the back of the vanity. I guess that would just be too simple. They have to figure out a way to make a mess and spend more money. I am expecting these two bathrooms to cost more than the house did when we first bought it.

Coffee and milk
banana
yogurt

2 mallow cups

At least I had skinny fingers this morning.

Knife happens next Monday morning at 9:45 or that is when I have to be there. It is being done in the doctor's office, so I am sure it is just a piece of cake to him, but it is big to this two year old. I hate knives and needles.

Diane, let us know how you are. Stomach problems can be tricky.

That sure doesn't make sense NCN. Your way is more sensible.

Lunch I had a sandwich with 2 slices salami (very thin), jalapeno cheese on 12 grain, some red grapes.

Dinner-we're going out so we'll see.

You'll do fine-had my shoulder done in doc's office for skin cancer. Piece of cake.

Good morning. I just wrote a check for the bathroom which is basically finished. He is here today doing some touchup, under the house plumbing, etc. We had a delay in our ordered shower door but can use a shower curtain until it arrives. It is nothing fancy, just a bathroom that has a floor you can walk on and other things that work. My bathroom will be started soon, but not tomorrow. My surgery has been moved up to between 12 and 2 P. M. tomorrow and Mr. VA's aunt passed on at the ripe old age of 90 something. She was so sweet, but I won't be going to the funeral unless I feel better than I think I will. If the surgery is not too taxing, I may change my mind. We loved this sweet lady.
