Most of Collin County is a safe place to live -- as long as you don't get arrested. I'm not saying that the criminal justice system in Collin County is as backwards at 1950's Mississippi. But it's pretty darn close.

I know a seventeen year old kid who was arrested up there for indecency with a child. He threw his cousin into the pool and evidently inadvertantly touched her in the wrong place. The police came to his school, pulled him out of class and kept him in a locked room for almost 8 hours without letting him out. They said to him if he left, that he would be admitting that he was a child molester. After two years in jail, his conviction was overturned. I'll never go to anything in Collin County. The "justice" system up there just isn't worth the risk.

Plus, everything is so generic. My time is better spent at work or home. I don't want to spend an hour in the car or have to drive 45 minutes to go to some restaurant in Dallas that ISN'T a Chili's.
