there are internships on the Southwest airlines web site for this summer
get one--stay with your uncle--make contacts
look for other internships in this area--competition will be very strong because you are going against local candidates but explain that you have desire to relocate after graduation and your local ties

join LinkedIn website--start making some contacts
look for people from your college alumni initially and see how you can branch out-
join a professional organization--student fees are usually less--

try to decide on what your skills are--
business technology is just like saying bread
do something specific with some aspect of that if your college has anything it does really well--
maybe get hours in science or foreign language (with some fluency)
there are plenty of medical centers and drug/medical companies in DFW area with multinational presence--
agree that Houston is better market for o/g companies but there are several smaller companies and independents in this area
especially in natural gas--
you might even consider FTW area

it seems there are many jobs opening up in training/e-learning/instructional design because so many people are having to be trained and re-trained--
you might consider that aspect pf technology
companies want specific skills--programming, using specific programs,
do search on Monster or Career builder or Indeed for a job that you would like and see what the target skills are--do you have them???
what types of jobs have you had in college--what specific skills/abilities did they require--and what did you enjoy doing...

my daughter is elementary teacher and good at it--but it is very demanding, low-paying job...
while she was in college she worked part time at local library in children's dept and did things like story time, brochure-design for activities, supervising high school volunteers, designing web pages...
she was very good at it and probably should have considered getting certified as school librarian and maybe getting library degree--
but she had already changed her major twice and could not imagine another year in college...

sometimes you don't know until you have worked a year or more that you might have enjoyed another field more--

if you have any hobbies/interests that you could combine with your degree--think about how to do that--
if you love the outdoors you might consider trying to merge that with working for companies like Cabela's or REI or travel company like Sabre which has headquarters in Southlake
if you like investing in stock market or analyzing investments then remember that Fidelity has headquarters in Westlake and there are plenty of banks in the DFW area

At first I got a job with my old company in Carrollton. I worked for them in New England, left, moved to Cleveland, OH for a year (by myself, gf no longer in the picture), but really wanted to purse my move to DFW. I contacted my old boss, and she was able to get me a few names down here in TX. I had a phone interview and had a job before I moved down. I worked there for several years, but I currently work for AA. I now live in Euless.

Thanks!
