I like the idea... in theory. But when I see how many lazy owners there are who can't even pick up their dog's poop at a dog park like they are supposed to, I highly doubt they'd bother picking it up at a restaurant.

The restaurant will have to be stellar for food and cleanliness. We went to one in Dallas when we first moved here and loved it. Fantastic for the kids and dogs, the entire family to be social. Great idea!

I think the idea is "great". I've been to Snug in McKinney on the weekends and people love the dogs. However, I will be quick to be unfriendly if your dog is a mischievous booger.

Not a good idea.

Pets have their place in life, but its not in a restaurant where human food is served.

I'm not a fan of this on many levels. I have owned animals in the past and never thought once about taking one out to dinner with me. I never cared for them hanging around the kitchen table, why would I want them hanging around a restaurant table? It's almost like people are trying hard to prove their love for dogs here in the City. You don't see cat owners or snake owners demanding the right to take their critters out to dinner? Anyhow, my wife is allergic to animals, so I guess I'll have to add to our list of restaurants to avoid.

It could work, but a few bad pet owners could ruin it for everyone else. Imagine if a health inspector witnessed a dog eating off someone's plate. Or if doggie-doo was left near a table.

Plus, it will only work for calm dogs. It would not be okay for them to go jumping on other customers or agitating other dogs.

I have to go in my office restroom and see what people do- and most of us make above $60k.

I also occasionally go into people's houses for work, and see their cleanliness standards - and my visits are always appointments.

Dogs aren't any worse.

It's not like patio dining is all that common in Plano to begin with.

I love seeing the dogs out on the patio at the Katy Trail Outpost in Plano. Their dirt floor and rustic decor seems like a good fit with the pups. On more formal patios like Patrizio's, right across the parking lot, dogs may seem out of place. It is up to owners to be responsible and make sure their dogs have good social skills.
