I agree 100%, that's why I keep saying DFW.

no matter if most of those people KNOW the Super Bowl is in Arlington--they are going to automatically default to Dallas--

apparently the NFL failed to follow through about the safety/construction of those additional seats--
the Fire Marshall did not declare them unsafe because they were never called to inspect them--
the contractors just did not finish their job--maybe they were supposed to come back and finish during Snow Week and "could not get there"
Obviously the person who was supposed to check the installation-- from the NFL or the local Super Bowl committee or Cowboy Stadium -- just let the ball drop--
yes many of the posters will not get their full purchase price back because they bought from re-sale sites...
one comment I read in the paper said that the tickets were sold before the seats were built/installed--when they were just "envisioned"--in that case I think the Attorney General or the Arlington District Attorney might find "fraud" if he looked hard enough--certainly bait and switch senario...

If I would have known they were giving back 3 times what people paid for the tickets I would have bought 5-6 tickets! Nothing like a 300% return on an investment.

Wow Arlington, let real cities handle Superbowls like New Orleans, Miami, and San Diego.

It's funny, people always bash New Orleans as incompetent, but they sure do know how to host a great Superbowl down there. Everything is compact and within walking distance of the Superdome, the city has many hotel rooms right there, and nobody is beter at crowd control.

I also find it hilarious that Houston had pretty nice Superbowls but Arlington/Dallas probably had the worst Superbowl ever. Don't fret too much, the Superbowl in Indy will suck just as much. There won't be decent Superbowl until after Indy (New Orleans).

Why did they start awarding Superbowls based on teams that just built new stadiums (Dallas, Indy, NYC) instead of just putting the Superbowl where people would want to be in early February (New Orleans, Miami, San Diego).

There's a reason the Superbowl was traditionally in these cities and now we found out why.

Indy will do just fine. They have just as much big event experience as New Orleans.

Untill its 5 degrees and snowing the day of the game. Warm weather cities are the place for the big game.

Yeah, but everything in Indy is close together. You can walk from the hotel to the convention center to the stadium to all the bars and restaurants. I'd much rather go to the game there than here.

I think that is our problem as well. Everything is too spread out and the ice just highlighted that fact. We need everything in one place.

Because Dallas has the hotels, restaurants and convention center, we should locate all the events there.

No disrespect to Fort Worth, but it doesn't have the high-end hotels or restaurants that cater to Super Bowl visitors. Arlington has the stadium and that is it.

Dallas needs to take charge and have all the events in downtown and uptown. If it snows for a week, people can still walk to the events in downtown and uptown. If we submit the same Super Bowl bid as we did this year, it will soundly fail.

Because of the geographical nature of the metroplex I think it's perfect for the Olympics. That event is suited to a spread out scenario. But the Super Bowl needs the energy from everything all together.

I remember hearing someone complain about the Cotton Bowl being played in Arlington and that it changed the tone in downtown Dallas on New Year's weekend. There was no camraderie building, no excitement.

Maybe I'm really slow here...but if the stadium is so huge anyway - why would you be adding temporary seats up until the last minute anyway?? Recipe for disaster (in hindsight)
