I would like to prepare my child for the ISEE exam. For any parent out there whose child has already taken the test, could you please suggest study guides that you found usefull? I have already checked out the official guide by ERB.

Thanks

I'm going off what my son encountered with the ISEE some years back, he's a college soph. now.

I'd tell him/her that the test is exceptionally difficult and that there WILL be questions probably a good many questions that s/he will not be able to answer - the math portion is very challenging with elements of algebra, trig, and even calculus.

Let your kiddo know to not get dogged down spending lots of time on any few particular questions.

My son says the ISEE was more difficult than the regular SAT.

Yes, according to the official guide, students will score at lower percentiles than they usualy do because the pool of test takers is mostly made up of high performing students.

My Kiddo is solidly average (she scores between the 50th-75th percentiles on ITBS). I told her all she has to do is her best. Thankfully, the ISEE is not the only criterion for admission
