We may have the opportunity to move either to Dallas or Tampa for a job relocation.
We're leaving towards FL as we love the beach. The negatives for us there are the hurricanes and constant rainfall from what we here. Does it really rain a lot? For a long period of time? We were most interested in the St Pete area...is this a safe place to live - in regards to low crime, hurricane area, etc?
Our negatives for Dallas are no beach, no trees, high population. If there aren't any beaches near by, are there lakes and places to take our dog swimming? What do you do for fun here?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Just had to clear this horrible misconception...if you want the big city feel, i would recommend Dallas btw. There are plenty of nice lakes in the dallas area, so lack of any proximity to water is greatly alleviated.

I'm always surprised at how people from out of state tend to categorize an entire state as big as Texas as having "no trees." The terrain and vegetation in this state is very diverse.

Dallas has trees! It surprised me! Everyone's flowers are also looking pretty amazing right now. I personally would pick the beach any day of the year BUT the education in Florida is spotty. If you have kids you would have to just do your homework. Good luck and don't forget the sunscreen!

Alt + Print Screen will take a snapshot of the entire screen. (Print screen by itself just takes a snapshot of the open window.) You can then paste the image into Paint, Word or any other application that can handle an image.
