Hi all, i am moving to Dallas this month and am undecided on cable service which do you recommend in the Village apts, Time Warner Cable or Direct TV. They both cost about the same but Direct TV is offering the NFL package at no cost. just want something that gets good reception.

thanks

I'd go with DTV, even though it's satellite service. You might experience an occasional outage when a bad storm rolls through, but I'm sure DTV's customer service and techs are far more capable of fixing an issue, as opposed to TWC, if one came up. Beside that, it sounds like you're getting a pretty good deal from DTV...

I'm in the process of cancelling TWC and going to U-verse in the next few weeks...

TWC at least has internet and DirecTV does not. I live 2 blocks from Village and have Uverse which I like a lot.

hi,,
It used to be a TW-only station, but they now have a distribution agreement with Cablevision too. Thanks for the heads-up.
