I'm interested in hearing from either current/past residents or those who are familiar with the area.

It looks like a safe and quiet place surrounded by lots of options for running and biking. All cultural activities seem to be within a few miles' reach.

Any disadvantages? Being close to Lovefield, is airplane noise a problem?

Half the building is in Dallas and half is in HP. This makes a big difference in taxes since Dallas' rate is about .6% higher than HP's. Choose carefully.

I think it's a great building to rent in; probably not the best to buy (property values seem stagnant over a decade or more). Condos just aren't that good of an appreciation/investment channel in the majority of Dallas.

Several friends have lived here over the years. It's a very nice building- well maintained, great staff (to a visitor at least). The units I have been in are updated and fresh-looking. Some are huge and others are tiny. Because of the way the building is laid out, not many units seem to have any sorry of interesting view- lots of inward facing towards a court yard. Units on one floor- maybe 3?- may have private terraces that are a nice perk. For visitors, parking is sparse and usually involves a hike.

Great location being in super-safe and beautiful Highland Park, across the street from Whole Foods, and minutes from everything in Uptown/ downtown/ Park Cities. Nonna, the Italian place catty-corner from the CrestPark, is fabulous & authentic.

The residents are more on the older "blue-haired lady" side. My friends who lived there in their 20's definitely stood out in the crowd! Also, if you have kids and are needing HPISD schools, it's very far from all the schools since its in the far corner of the district. And ensure you are in the HPIsD side of the building or you're SOL.

Love Field noise is common all the way from 75 west to the airport, especially along Lemmon / Maple/ Cedar Springs which are below flight paths. I lived close to Lemmon for 5 years. You notice it sometimes but not always. Sunday evening is always when I would happen to notice. Depends on how much time you spend outside @ home b/c with good windows you won't hear it indoors.

Thanks for the feedback TurtleCreek80.

I'm looking to rent. No kids so the school district is not important.

I wasn't impressed by the view out of the apartment either. The residents I ran into tended to be on the older side. You've confirmed my observation.

The location is definitely great. I wonder if it's safe to walk to restaurants up and down Lemmon in the evening.

Definitely safe to walk, but aside from Nonna and Buzzbrew's, there isn't a lot worth walking to in that strip of Lemmon (mostly fast food or $$$ like Bob's Steak & Chop House).

If you want a more walkable neighborhood, try the high rises along Turtle Creek or apartments near the West Village or Knox Street. The high rise on Travis & Knox has rentals, great views, and walking distance to dozens of great ships, restaurants, and bars (more laid back like wine bars & pubs than trendy uptown). It's also on the Katy Trail- great for runners!
