Hi

From everything I hear about Dallas, it sounds like a place I would be really interested in moving to. I have a bachelor's in marketing and management and am just looking to get into something enrty-level, but do you think I could find anything? I have a lot of serving experience, so I was thinking in the meantime, I could serve somewhere. I am really interested in living in Uptown, but it's soo expensive. Are there any other areas that anyone could suggest (Around $700)

Thanks!

Didn't a bunch of people suggest the Village the last time? Did you give up on that idea?

The Legacy area of Plano would be a great option as well. The apartment options near the Shops at Legacy are nice....

Uptown will be pricier than Addison/Plano. I think the apartments in Addison are a great in between option for your needs ....

Try the apartments just south of the Village also - 75206 - these are bounded by Lover's Lane, Greenville Avenue, Skillman and DART Rail/Katy Trail extension - E. University runs through -- most are less expensive and it's a blend of old, new and condos...easy access to Central Expressway, SMU, Park Cities, White Rock Lake, NorthPark, Greenville Ave (many restaurants, though the main scene is "Lower Greenville" south of Mockingbird).

Also check condos for rent, they're usually cheaper and you get more room. There's many around the Oakland/Uptown area. Most apartments force you to get renters insurance and use one carrier for electricity. I had Green Mountain and they were the worst.

Shops at Legacy is nice. But it's not $700/mo. And it's not for a 25 y/o- it's for a 40-something divorcee or corporate temp housing!!

OP- for that budget, if you want to be near Uptown, go with the Village.

Lower Greenville, Deep Ellum, Downtown, Gaston Area. All a little sketchy, but way cool. Just tough enough to keep the fat cats out and the prices nice with easy access to all the amenities.
