I am looking for some insights into how bad the road noise from Kinwest pkwy (near its intersection with Parkridge Blvd) is to homes that border it in Hackberry Creek HOA ?
We are interested in a property there, which backs into Kinwest pkwy, separated by a wall. The home itself is removed from the street by a large backyard, but you do get car noise in the backyard.

We initially thought we were not as sensitive to the noise as some others are, and also that the street had very little traffic. However, when I was there recently on a second visit at ~ 8pm, I felt there was significantly more noise in the yard than I had thought during my first visit. Now we are a little concerned if that can become an issue after we buy and if we may not enjoy the backyard very much. But again, when we got out on that street, there seemed to be very little traffic (the few times we have been there, the traffic was as sparse as what you see there on Google StreetView).

We like most other things about the home and were quite serious about it before this happened.

A little confused about it now since it has many of the things we want and we have been looking quite a bit.

Thanks for reading and any objective info or suggestions about the situation will be greatly appreciated.

It's not a busy street at all. It has never been much of a factor in resell of homes that backup to Kinwest.

There is probably more noise off 635 but not a deal breaker either. (when the wind blows from the north)

You're OK.
