Can someone give me concrete teacher salaries for those that teach in the Dallas Catholic diocese. Thanks.

HI

Friend started at St. Rita not too long ago, starting salary out of college was around 28-30k, top range for the elementary school is 45ish. I'm sure the High Schools pay more. The pay is considerably less than public schools and the benefits aren't as good either. Upside is student discipline issues seem to be much better.

Most Catholic School Teachers are highly motivated or as some used to say it was a vocation. I had eight years with Sisters of Incarnate Word and three years with Basilian priests and brothers. My Senior year was a vacation at American School in Mexico.

My salary was too long ago to be useful but we used to say we "worked for God, not money." Always true in religious-based schools.
