Agreed..This is stupid legislation. Liberal minded crap..How about this, fix the economy instead of worrying about peoples trousers!

Anyone involved in this should be asked to step down from their position in Government

For real.
Why does it matter? Who cares if it came from jail - that's besides the point. It's a freedom of expression and as long as it doesn't show indecent parts or underwear blatantly, then who are we to ban it?

We should start banning fat women in spandex. We should start banning skinny jeans because they look dumb. We should start banning those plastic eyeglasses that make people look smart because they may be inaccurate depictions of the person wearing them. We should also ban people who wear gym shoes with slacks because they don't coordinate.

I mean come on... where is it going to stop?

Yes Al and Jesse are a real brain trust and they REALLY care about you! I would be thoroughly embarrassed if those two represented me in any way shape or form. You might want to keep that one to yourself from now on. Just a suggestion..

The legislation is stupid, lets not make this about race. Is it because most buffoons who wear there pants around their knees are generally black folks? That doesn't mean the law is racist..Just like speaking ebonics makes one sound foolish, wearing your pants around your ass makes one look foolish..But my attitude is you want to talk that way and wear your pants like a fool, it's a free country, knock yourself out..Just gives me (and most other Americans) more to point and laugh at.

The more people make a big deal about sagging/ skinny pants the more appealing it will be to those that wear it.... there's nothing young men love more than being 'outlaws'... and guess who LOVE copying outlaws? YOUR kids folks... yep, your WASPY little boys will think its the coolest thing... as they do now...i see LOTS of sagging on little suburban boys who haven't live a day in the 'hood' or anywhere near it and arent hoodlums... just admirers of hoodlums. And how ridiculous is it to regulate clothing? Whats next? A ban on tights on overweight women? ( yuck) no more daisy dukes on kids under 18? No cowboy boots after spring? I mean really folks, i think there are more pressing issues for our regulators to focus on... PLENTY more.
My advice is stop talking about it... you are extending the shelf life of this ridiculous 'fashion' trend.... and yes, its mostly a media- touted-fashion trend..... like many others it will soon become un-cool and old school. PATIENCE PEOPLE!!!

We should ban any man showing his knees in shorts, we should ban fat men from being shirtless in public, fat women from being fat, and ugly women from being ugly. Go Republicans!

Whats funny is that the support of this law is coming almost entirely from the Democrats in the city government.

Of course Dwayne was also the one trying to keep liquor stores out of South Dallas.

Moderator cut: libelous slander not permitted He looks like he has a second grade Education. I can't believe he is getting paid with Taxpayer money to sit around and think critically about a topic like this.

When I see things like this, and just about every show on the Bravo network and I can't believe my eyes, and then I become certain America is doomed.

Eh, wrong side there buddy. The Republicans are just as bad when it comes to legislating religious morality, though.

Atleast no one is banning wearing shorts that go past the knees... I like those.

Woah, woah, woah...I get that your post was in jest, and I agree that you shouldn't legislate the way people dress, but shorts just above the knees are TOTALLY acceptable and fashionable and I DON'T like your tone. This isn't the jenco 1990's anymore. Long shorts that go halfway down your shins are almost as bad as showing half of your ass sagging. Keep it classy, people.
