When I relocate to Dallas, I am leaning toward St. Monica for my oldest, he will be eligible for the 4-year-old or Dev-K programs there in Fall 2013. On the St Monica website, they say that they do not have any after school care. What do working mothers do? Is there an alternate program for the children who can not be picked up until 5?

That's really surprising. My kids went to Prince of Peace in Plano and POP absolutely had after school care until about 6. I'll ask my St. Monica peeps and get an answer. I simply don't believe StM. lacks some sort of arrangement.

Thanks so much! I have e-mailed the school, but have not yet heard back. It will also to be great to hear from someone who has kids there.

St. Monica has after school care for students in grades K-4 and study hall for students in grades 5-8, but doesn't have aftercare for preschool. This is fairly typical of many schools in this area. At schools that don't offer preschool aftercare, families who need longer care often have a babysitter pick their preschool age children up after school. I believe there are also daycare centers that will pick students up from preschool.

Thank you! If anyone is familiar with a daycare that picks up from St. Monica, please let me know, that would be great info to have.
