Hi

My family and I will be moving to Dallas in June. I will work in Denton and husband will work in Downtown Dallas by Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC). Where would be a nice place to live with good schools since my son will be starting kindergarten. I heard we can live near downtown since the commute is opposite traffic....but am looking more for someplace in midway between Denton & downtown. We are thinking of renting (3-4 bedroom) home.

Any advice is greatly appreciated

Flower Mound. Not the best commute but doable.

Oh my... Those cities are over an hour apart!! For now, Flower Mound or Lewisville, but someone needs to change jobs so the commute won't be so awful!

You will have a horrible commute if you're too close to either. Coppell, Carrollton (castle hills~not really 1/2 way but nicest part), Valley Ranch area are all 1/2 way to both.

Good luck, welcome to Texas.

Be prepared to have a difficult time finding a home to lease. They are going as fast as they hit the market and lease rates are much higher.
