Where can one go for nightlife, dancing,(top 40, salsa, 90's, 2000) in the City or outside of it?

Prefer the 30s/40 s crowd, not the college age kids, singles, or 30k millionaires.

I wouldn't think this would exist in the burbs (Collin county)..but if there are some good lounge bars...please share. Not looking for "chain" type of restaurants. Thanks!

Shops at Legacy leap to mind. Try Sambuca 360 there.

Shops at Legacy is good, Villages at Fairview have a few places that fit the bill as well, like Down Under and Dodies. For more lounge type places with live music and no dancing, McKinney has quite a few little places like Zin Zen, Landon Winery, Churchills, etc.

Agree with the Shops at Legacy. Sambucca 360 and a newer place on the north side of the shops called Blue Martini. Both have live bands and dancing and it's a mixed crowd of various ages. It varies a bit depending on who is playing. The area also has LOTS of bars for bar hopping, upscale drinks on the patio, etc. Good people watching.

These bars do have a singles scene (as most dance bars do), but it's not exclusively so.

Lower McKinney Avenue is good for several points: Sambuca, Ritz bar(s), Zaza, Sfuzzi (dancing late) and there are probably some new ones I haven't visited.

Ha ha I was wondering the same thing!!!

I'd love to find a place that is geared towards early 40s singles. No beautiful drop dead gorgeous skinny blonde beauties allowed! lol

Apologies towards the singles crowd..didn't mean it THAT way, I should have chosen my words more carefully. Sorry everyone! Me and dh are still young at heart and have walked into smaller places and feel like we are the only married couple in the joint that still likes to go dancing and have fun...because everyone else was scoping and looking to hook up. Sorry if my words didn't come out correctly!
