Hello Murphy Friends, Can you tell if Betsy Lane is off of Park Blvd or its another name for that part of Park Blvd? Is it busy or hardly gets any traffic?

Betsy and Park are the same.

It's steady but not *busy* except for morning rush hour - kids to school and folks to work. But that's about an hour.

The street actually has different names depending on the city.

Plano - Park
Parker - Park/Betsy (Dublin is divider)
Murphy - Betsy
Wylie - McMillen/Park

What's even more confusing is Murphy has a McMillen too, but it doesn't meet up with the Wylie McMillen

I've been there a few times and it looked pretty busy to me. It is Park Blvd no matter what it's being called and a major road. Homes inside don't get much noise but ones backing to Betsy must get noisy during morning and evening rush hours, and school dismissal times. Betsy & Murphy intersection gets traffic from elementary, middle and high schools.

You can't expect Park Blvd to not be busy, if there are three schools near by then even more so.

In Murphy, it's Betsy. If you call it Park, you will be corrected.

As far as traffic from schools on Betsy, that's not really the same issue as Murphy Rd. I live off Betsy so I'm extremely familiar with the traffic patterns.

Elementary schools feed from the neighborhoods. Boggess kids don't come close to Betsy for school routes. Hunt has kids from south of Murphy but they don't use Betsy, they cross Betsy at Oriole.

As far as Murphy MS and McMillen HS, only the students who live north of Betsy would actually use Betsy. That's about 600 homes. And many of those use the bus. As do any students who come from Parker and Plano.
