Well, I made it home safe.

Getting to know my way around better. Not so bad when ya know where you're going.

Now in an hour I am headed down to the Boxwood restaurant near down town to watch my Mavs beat the Thunder!

I did.

It kind of made my day, even though I was the one doing a favor. It's only happened once before. That time it was a UPS driver.

Nice! I try to be courteous on the road too. I keep hoping it'll catch on.

It's all a matter of letting yourself get used to a different driving environment. Time makes everything better!
BTW Texas Minded - we must live not far from you. Explore the Lakewood/White Rock/Casa Linda area - you may never go west of Greenville Ave again!

Thanks for the tip. I will check it out.

My wife and I like to walk so we might really like going on walks around White Rock Lake.

I usually stay in the middle lane and give myself a few carlengths of space from the next car in front of me.

I spent most of my driving life in Los Angeles. I thought LA drivers were pretty aggressive and rude. But Dallas wins. Not only aggressive, rage-filled people on the road but TERRIBLE drivers, too. One lane on the highway will be a tailgating party racing along at 80+ miles an hour, the lane next to it will be stuck behind a car going 40. It's insane. God forbid you put your lane change blinker on, drivers will floor it to make sure you don't get in front of them. Even on our residential and town roads people drive like idiots. I've never seen anything like it in my life. Our out of town friends all comment as well when they visit.
