Are they in the reused glass bottles?
Yes, glass bottles. I have only ever seen Mexican Coke in glass bottles whether it's Central Market or a Mexican grocery store.

Well, I pretty much go to all three, Tom Thumb (in North Texas), Kroger and Albertson's. I'll also add a fourth in Super Target. Sometimes, there are certain products I look for and cannot find when I'm shopping at one store, so I end up going to another. I go to no less than two each week.

I prefer Thom Thumb but they're not cheap by any means. I haven't been to a Kroeger here yet, and Albertsons is ridiculously expensive. I don't know how Albertsons stays in business!

Sprouts is one of my favorites too, but they don't have a very large meat selection, and are quite pricey.

Walmart has pretty good prices, I don't care for their meat at all though, nor the long lines at the check-out.

Default Organic Options?

Hi there,

What about organic food options? I'm coming from the pacific northwest where we have stores like PCC and Whole Foods, but from what I've seen in the Grapevine/Coppell/Irving area, there's Central Market, Sprouts (which has a lower selection of organic foods to choose from than I would have thought), and some isolated sections of Kroger, Tom Thumb, etc.

Can anyone speak to a favorite all-organic grocery store (if possible) in the area?

Sounds like there aren't many options in your area. There are many Whole Foods around the Dallas area. The closest ones are in Plano or Richardson:
Whole Foods Market : Texas (broken link)

Maybe you can do a search for an organic food co-op; I'm sure there would be one in your area.

I always have to make a stop at Market Street United when I'm in the area. I've always like the regular United Stores in West Texas and the Market Street United's are especially good places to shop (and a good place to eat lunch or pick up a to-go dinner).

I buy all my groceries from Walmart with the exception of meat. There meat selection is horrible IMHO. I purchase my meat from my local Kroger or if I want a meat for special event I will go to Highland Park or Preston Hollow to purchase it. I go to Tom Thumb for those hard to find items.

Of the 3 you list, Tom Thumb has the best quality produce and meat. So, I shop there. However, I think it is quite pricey, so I often also go to the Super Target. The produce is of decent quality there too, but they don't always have the best selection. Honestly, if you really want great produce and meat, go to Costco.

I go to all three stores but a couple of days ago I went to the Fiesta store on Parker Rd in Plano. They had an excellent selection of international foods and their prices were a lot cheaper for the types of things I buy.
