Try best buy. I know on the first few days they had MANY in stock when others were out. They can get you setup the same(and sometimes better) than AT&T.

I recently bought an Iphone 6. I went to most of the AT&T stores and Sam's Club. (Sams Club has them only in 16 GB Version) your best bet it to just order it online from Apple and have it shipped to you. Mine showed up within a week. Lot less hassle that driving around and no one having anything in stock. Also the Apple stores receive daily shipments but you have to get there before they open and stand in line. The apple store in Northpark Mall had one for me to buy in 64GB but it was gold. Check out this website for inventory levels, not sure how accurate it is now but worth a shot.

Ordering online from AT&T directly may also be an option. Even though it says back ordered on their site of anywhere to 2 weeks, I placed an order last week for the smaller one and it arrived at my door within 2 days despite their site saying it was a 2 week delay.
