Gaston and Carroll is probably the best place to invest as it is the last of the old rough parts... Lincoln Properties (The Village) has supposedly bought up most of Gaston and Live Oak (old apartments) - Ross Ave has been bought up by various companies and the ordinance banning car-related businesses will dramatically change the old "Millionaire's Row" which became mostly car lots.

Also the new DART station at Baylor will be just a few blocks away from Gaston and Carroll. Baylor has also been buying a lot of property in the area -- behind Baylor (Deep Ellum), Westdale just bought three more major properties to add to its large collection.
