Does anyone have insight into st marks admissions process for 1st graders. Apart from relax, grin and bear it, what should we expect for the campus visit?

My son attended the on-campus testing last weekend for 1st grade. The boys were divided into four groups. The administrators said the kids would take a standardize test and another test created by their teachers, interact with other children, have a one on one "interview" with a teacher, eat a snack, and play outside. Afterwards, my son said he did an activity book, ate goldfish, played legos, and played on the playground. That's all I got out of him.

Once the boys were escorted into the classrooms, there was a question and answer session with the lower school head and director of admissions. It wasn't mandatory. You could stay or leave whenever you wanted. We were instructed to return to campus by 11:30 before the boys would be dismissed.

Thanks for sharing. Ours is later this month. Should be interesting. Guessing that is all we'll get out of him too.

Did you stay for the Q&A session? Were there any interesting questions asked?

I stayed for part of it. Nothing too unusual was asked . . . they touched on the use of technology, bullying, and attrition.
