Has anyone used a car shipper before and had a good experience? Looking to have a car shipped to the east coast and would appreciate some recommendations.

I used Auto Transport, Auto Transport Company, Auto Shipping, Car Shipping, Shipping A Car - United Road Vehicle Logistics to ship cars before via open carrier and never had an issue -- their pricing was the most competitive vs. others I tried. You can also list your car shipping job on uship.com and get bids to gauge pricing. There are tons of shipping companies out there.

Thanks I'll ask United Road for a quote.

I've done a bit of research and the overwhelming opinion is to avoid uship and other similar services that match up shippers and customers and just deal directly with a good shipper, which is why I'm asking if anyone has had any good experiences.

Our relocation company used Dependable Auto Shippers to move our vehicles from Maryland to Dallas. They are based in Mesquite.

FedEx Custom Critical will ship cars, trucks, yachts, and Shamu the whale. I used them when I bought a car on Ebay. They subcontract the shipping out to vetted contractors. There is no "next day" service obviously. To ship from Chicago to Dallas I think I paid $600. Price varies if it is on a car-carrier exposed to the elements or inside an enclosed trailer
