That's still east Frisco. I'm a bit confused...tenant pays $2900/month for rent, why don't you just buy?!?! lol

No, it makes sense and it is a tempting offer except we still won't have a house to live in right away, more importantly when the tenant moves out, the house will still be east Frisco.

Also, if I'm not buying the property for primary residence, I'm not sure if I would qualify for current lower APR/interest rates. (there might be other requirements as well, like being able to bring in at least 20% down for investment property etc).

East Frisco academically is way more established on high school... Liberty, Centennial are the high schools often talked about here and outrank all the high schools in frisco--if your into that sort of stuff. Independence will have the combo of the two above since it was just built. Reedy high (new school) is being talked about as the next new hotshot school.

Wakeland gets props academically on the west side. To say East frisco is "err" just east frisco is laughable at best. Both "sides" are great and but if you are in Addison then it would be best to stay close to work. Someone mentioned plantation resort, that's EAST side not west, feeds into centennial and a very cute and nice community.

Turnbridge and hunters creek are right off the 121 and feed to liberty high school. If the home is priced right it goes from coming soon to contract pending! Interesting that there is a strong east side west side thing happening, to me its just frisco!

Could be one of several reasons, like relocation, down payment, credit history, foreclosure record, etc....

I would disagree with west being academically superior to east. Liberty and Centennial are two of the highest ranked Frisco HS's, and both are in east Frisco.

ETA: Sorry for the redundancy...Just realized mom2 posted almost the same thing...lol

Here is a new build, probably in Panther Creek feeding Maus middle and Heritage.

Liberty is stones throw from centennial and independence is right up the street between them and you can literally see heritage from the parking lot of independence.

none of the parents I know refer to anything east of the tollway as WEST and I live in the feeder lines. But your entitled to your opinion. The only place that I know that refers to the east west thing is richwoods for boundary lines for curtsinger elementary and mcspedden. (They will say the east side goes to this school and the west goes to that school). But at the end of the day, its just richwoods.

I am confused. How is Coit a dividing line between east and west? Coit is only two major crossroads away from McKinney. That's more like a 80/20 split versus a 50/50.
