Arlington can be humid in the summer, and it does get cold here in the winter. Schools in AISD are marginal for the most part. You might look into El Paso, TX and Arizona for a better climate for your son.

All of DFW has the same weather: hot, humid summers and winters that can be cold. If you are serious about your son's health, you need to look at a different climate. I'm surprised you say Arizona had "no jobs." What kind of work do you do?

I also check out the real estate market in both cities. There is definitely no comparison between them. DFT home r much nicer & much cheaper.

Why are you surprised about this? I lived in Phoenix. The quality of jobs is pretty lackluster there. Phoenix was a nothing of a city before World War 2. It's not established and doesn't have a good base of corporate HQs there. I left Phoenix for Dallas because of the better base of corporate HQs and more job opportunities.

The standard advice around here is know where you'll be working. It's such a huge area you don't want live in South Arlington and work in North Plano.

Demographics - Arlington is a diverse city so you will have no problem fitting in. There are many Arab, African, Hispanic, and Vietnamese immigrants in the city and you really can't tell what the majority demographic is.
