This is not a comprehensive list.

Which of the following do you believe to be most well-rounded?

1) Downtown Grapevine (Main Street)
2) Downtown Keller (Old Town)
3) Downtown Roanoke
4) Downtown Southlake
5) Downtown Arlington
6) Downtown Carrollton
7) Downtown Lewisville
8) Downtown Garland
9) Downtown Plano
10) Downtown McKinney
11) Downtown Frisco (Main Street)

Things to consider:

- variety/number of festivals/holiday events
- walkability
- atmosphere
- location
- park space
- architecture (storefronts, civic buildings, etc.)
- dining/shopping/entertainment
- liveliness

So far McKinney, but I've only been to Garland, Grapevine, Granbury on that list.

Should make this a poll.

I've been to about 3/4 of those, and a lot of them aren't in the same league as McKinney, Southlake, or Grapevine. Plano, I've heard very good things about (there was a thread recently about their downtown winning some award) but I haven't actually been there myself for 15-20 years so can't really comment.

Out of the ones listed, McKinney would get the nod from me.

Plano. It's the only one I've actually visited.

Among those listed, I would say we frequent and enjoy Southlake's Town Square most. One can walk to restaurants and shops with ease. Some of the festivals are pleasant, and they do try to spread them out through the year, and appeal to families. However, for liveliness, fine arts culture, and an atmosphere that brings out people of all walks, I would consider downtown Fort Worth the best model for the suburban downtown areas to emulate.
