Nope.

There used to be TWO different AP exams in French - French Language, which would be taken after AP French IV, and French Literature, taken after AP French V.

The College Board got rid of the French Literature exam about 5 years ago, probably due to very few takers.

Since there is no longer an AP exam for the French V students to take, it can no longer be considered an AP class.

(This is the same problem the Comp Sci students have - the advanced Comp Sci III H actually is weighted lower than the introductory AP Comp Sci A.)

What does the 17 year old person who will actually be taking these classes want to do? That's who should be making this choice.
