Was driving along 121 from Frisco to Irving yesterday at around 7:00 PM when a wicked nasty smell hit the car. No it wasn't me . This was right around the Hebron Pkwy exit. Lasted a bit for a few miles and then cleared up by I-35. Smelled it on the way back as well and that was maybe at 8:30 PM.

The smell reminded me of what one usually smells around a fertilizer or sewage plant, but the area seemed to be residential/retail.

What is it ? Where is it coming from ?

You are right, Camelot & DFW landfills owned by Farmers Branch. Carrollton & Lewisville filed cases against them so let's see what happens. FB's defense is that they were there before and Carrollton changed zoning from industrial to housing and later Lewisville annexed area around it so now both towns are against this dump's recent violations. Environmental protection agency is on their case as well so hopefully issue would be resolved soon.
