Yes, another relo question - sorry!!

We currently live in Cincinnati, OH but will be relocating to the Dallas area. No need to worry about commute as my husband travels for his job and will not "be going to the office." We need to be near Dallas for the ease of airports. We are looking to rent an apartment or condo for the first year. I have done much research and there appear to be many, many nice apartment complexes - which ones cater toward middle age folks - we are a young, active mid-50's couple yet I don't want to pick a complex that houses mostly young single/couples - we have children in that age group and I prefer not to know what they are up to .

If possible, I would like to know the names of specific complexes as I already have the areas picked out.

Thanks in advance for your input!

Julie

I wouldn’t pick any of those in your situation. I’d pick a nice central location in Dallas and enjoy a diverse, vibrant city neighborhood with much better proximity to the airports than those burbs.

Knox-Henderson is a great walkable neighborhood that appeals to a variety of ages & stages of life. Zip code 75205

Devonshire / Greenway Parks is another one and is less than 5 min to Love Field. 75209

Uptown, Downtown, the Design District could also work.

Really confused as to how you don’t want to live around families but narrowed your short list down to three suburbs known for outstanding public schools which means that many of the neighborhoods are extremely family oriented???

Oh we don't mind being around families - we don't want to rent an apartment in a "mostly young singles/kidless couples" complex aka a party complex.

With that said, I will definitely check out your suggestions as they might be a better fit.
