Installed a range hood last year. Ended up running new duct lines through the roof as well. Last night I could hear water dripping sound inside the duct pipe when it was raining heavily. It's been 15 months since installed. Will it be still covered under the warranty or should I find a roofer/handyman to fix it?

As to warranty coverage, do you have a warranty on the installation (as distinct from the equipment)? What does it say? What a written warranty says, that's what's covered and for how long. I very seriously doubt that you have a warranty on Billy Joe Jim Bob's Installation Company's installation work.

As to the reason, you or someone is going to have to get up on the roof and determine why water's coming in to the duct. Is the weather cap properly installed? Has it been damaged, or come loose, or what? Get up on the roof and look at it and you will find the answer.

Have you actually seen water coming from the hood (inside or outside) or water staining around the hood on ceilings/walls? Your ductwork no doubt is solid metal. When the rain strikes the cap if it is quiet enough it can sound like it is coming down the duct.
