I am moving to Rockwall and I just looked at a house by the Harbor District (Summer Lee Drive) but I noticed that there are a lot of listings in that area and several of them are over 60 days old. I just found it odd cause I know the Dallas real estate market is still pretty strong that so many listings would be so old.

I was also told that some of the houses I have looked at have had contracts fall through recently.

I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on this since I’ve only been in the area for a few months. I just don’t want to buy a house and end up living in a declining area.

There are no homes in the MLS on the market on Summer Lee Drive. Need more info so we can determine the area you are talking about.

Can't speak to that part of Rockwall but up in the Shores the market is very hot. What are you looking for? Schools? Size of house?
