You may get better answers in a photography forum somewhere or City Data’s Green Living or Hobbies and Recreation forums.

I have several Ring cameras inside and outside my house of 4 different varieties with no long-term (I'll explain below) issues. I have also helped install them at a friends house with no issues and recommended them to my parents. They now have them installed with no issues.

There are other brands that are good as well, but I think you need to evaluate the root cause of your issue:

Have you deleted and re-installed the app to make sure it wasn't just an app glitch. That happened to me a week after installing our cameras. Uninstalling and re-installing the app fixed this for me. During this brief time, I was having issues connecting or responding to notifications. I have had no issues with it since. My dad also had this issue once - uninstalling and re-installing the app fixed the issue. (Takes about 2 minutes to do)

Do you have consistent, reliable high speed wireless internet to all of your devices? Do you need to add additional access points or prioritize devices on your network? If this is an issue for you, then you will have an issue with any brand's cameras utilizing wifi. To view high quality video, essentially on-demand, you need a solid connection at all devices. For most people going with modern wireless security setups, I recommend ensuring you are using an up to date modem capable of handling the throughput required (not the crappy ones your provider offers). Additionally, use an up to date wireless router. I recommend the Google Mesh setup, preferably with multiple hubs. But there are other good, competing mesh setups. Your one single 10 year old router tucked in the corner of your house is very likely not going to provide enough signal to allow you to stream the cameras the way you want.

Do you have a reasonably up to date phone? Again, this is an issue that would likely persist with other brands as well.

These may be things you have already thought about or addressed, but I am bringing them up regardless. If it doesn't help you, it may help someone else. Wireless security systems are pretty great these days, but you have to have a network truly capable of running them. More importantly, you need an up to date modem and router. No matter what speed you are paying for from your provider, if you dont have a quality modem and router, using wifi security cameras will be a pain.

Hikvision (owned by Chinese government) are the best. Their surveillance cameras were all over US military bases before they are removed for security reasons.

I'd recommend asking in Consumer Electronics (under Science and Technology) or House.
