If you ask around, you'll find North Dallas suburbs are growing like gangbusters! As a result, the schools reach capacity very quickly. Take it from one who has been there--if you're moving to North Dallas-- figure out what school you want and get registered ASAP (you'll have to prove that you live in the school's boundaries). Call the school and find out what their registration timelines are and how close to capacity they are.

What happens if your child's grade is full? He or she may have to go to the "overflow" school nearby until something opens up. The good news is-- most of the schools around here are very good. But if you don't want to have to deal with your child switching schools or going to a different school than all the neighborhood kids... you'll want to explore this soon.

Good luck!

A former Minnesotan, Iowan, current Texan, soon to be Washingtonian (is that a word?!) Let's just say we move a lot.

P.S. If you want more info on North Dallas suburbs, check out this exchange on our forum: Moving to Dallas-- Consider ALLEN!!
