Welcome to Dallas. "D Magazine's" July 2008 edition lists the best suburbs of Dallas. It has GREAT information on cost of housing, schools, shopping, etc. My recommendation is to live close to where you work. Traffic is here is starting to look like Houston!!

Traffic seems to be much worse outside LBJ. Here's it's not much of a problem. I almost never get on a freeway (except for vacation road-trips) unless I am going to DFW Airport or up to Lake Texoma.
