Great news, and a pie in the face to all the naysayers who think Dallas is some cultureless wasteland.

I don't think anyone outside of Texas especially NY would visit Dallas just for its up & coming arts district.

Sorry, I'm not buying it.

Dallas is a business destination, not a tourist destination.

People usually don't visit Dallas unless they really have to.

Get what I'm sayin?

I think the city is trying to change that. As much as I sometimes dispise Dallas, I have to say Kudos to them for at least making an effort!

Dallas is an alright place to visit, but I can think of 17 more compelling destinations in Texas. My image of Dallas is still the land of 500 Targets and Best Buys...but kudos to the city for trying to change that.

I'll take Florianopolis, Brazil or the FL Keys anyday over Dallas. And they were ranked lower than Dallas, too. But lists like these are garbage anyway LOL!!!
