The CFHoF's current lease in South Bend is up in 2010. Dallas and Arlington along with several other cities are trying to lure the attraction.

Huh? Dallas has the Mavericks and the Stars. Both teams that have seen recent and current playoffs. Well, the Stars not this year . But they have one a championship which is a LOT MORE than the Rangers can say.

GO DALLAS!

^^^ I'm referring to sports venues heading to Arlington instead of Dallas like; Arlington Stadium, The Ballpark and Cowboys Stadium.

Neither Dallas nor Fort Worth have any colleges with any kind of good sports rep except for maybe TCU. As someone who loves college sports, I just don't see why DFW would be a good spot for the HOF. Just to have it here? At least Notre Dame and therefore South Bend has great college sports history.

DFW is centrally located and easy to get to but it doesn't seem like the HOF would be a destination in and of itself. I don't get it.

Huh?

TCU - Sammy Baugh, Davey O'Brien, LaDainian Tomlinson, Bob Lilly.
SMU - Doak Walker, Don Meredith, Eric Dickerson.

The Cotton Bowl Classic was for years host to the National Championship game before the BCS ruined it.

Texas-OU weekend arguably the biggest rivalry in CF.

The DFW area is home to the National Football Foundation (the governing body of the College Football Hall of Fame) and home to the Big 12 Conference Headquarters.

DFW is at the heart of great college football country. OU, UT, LSU, A&M, Baylor, Arkansas...

Not disrespecting South Bend, but the college football heritage and continuing tradition down here better and more widespread.

Arlington Stadium is no longer. Once The Ballpark opened up the location of the old stadium became a parking lot. There are only two sports venues IN Arlington for major league play: The Ballpark and JerryWorld. Not counting any athletic fields at UTA
