I was wondering if anyone on this board knows a really good real estate agent in the Plano area that has a lot of experience finding/managing rental properties? I'm looking to buy my 1st rental home around Plano or Far North Dallas area. I've talked to a few agents, but have no luck so far in finding one with solid knowledge of rental property investing. Since this is my 1st investment, I would love to find an agent that can advise me on the business of rental homes... what types of things to look for and what to avoid. I'm particularly looking for agents who have owned or managed rental properties themselves.

I'm not sure if it's against the rules to post info of real estate agents on this board (maybe it's considered spam?) If that's the case, I would really appreciate it if you could send me a direct message with the contact info. Thanks!

What your wanting is quite a lot of work for an agent who can guide / educate you with this and it does not pay well. You want an experienced seasoned agent to teach you what they have taken years to learn.

There are groups in DFW you can join that has meetings about investing in properties. You might expand your search for knowledge outside the agent field.

But keep up the search, there might be a good agent out there that will work with you. One thing you don't want is someone with just a year or 2 of experience.

You are right, it is against TOS to post recommendations for realtors.
