This bridge made it easier to go to Downtown from West Dallas. This bridge also extended the Woodall Rodgers Fwy. (Spur 366)

I agree. My commute takes me down I-35 daily, and I only see the bridge because I know to look for it. Coming from north 35, it's obscured by several buildings. Even when I'm merging onto Woodall Rogers, it's not very prominent.

Aren't there supposed to be multiple arches? If so, that may help make it stand out.

Oh I didn't say it was dominating. I just have not seen it in person, so I will decide whether I like it or not after I see it. I think I will like it after the suspensions go up

That's a different bridge.

This should be interesting. I've looked at the TRV in Fort Worth, but I've only glanced at Dallas' plans.

Thanks.

And this is definitely needed! I-35 and I-30's bridges over the Trinity are horrible. Potholes before you reach the bridge, their bumpy, the HOV lane on 35 is extremely narrow, and there aren't enough lanes on the freeway. The merging lanes aren't too bad though.

This is suppose to be the complete plan for that area: Project Pegasus Web Site

Yeah, the bridges are very old. On the news they said they have to replace the I-35E Trinity River Bridge because it is in disrepair.

Amen to that. Moving away from Dallas to San Antonio is a culture shock. The backwards thinking here is driving me crazy. It is the small mentality and the "mañana" attitude here that I cannot stand.
