I second that! The location is optimal, as it benefits from Beavercreek's lack of local income tax, and is right on the border with Kettering and The Greene. Friends of mine used to live there, and they had a 50-lb collie.

For a nursing student, the lack of tax isn't going to be much of a benefit.

The benefits of living real close to school can't be overstated, however. There were dogs in the building on Southdale where my mom used to live and a person could walk to the school, so if not driving a car would be a factor in attending the school, living in Beavercreek is a problem. ( It's up to the individual landlord whether a dog can be your roommate. Pet rent at a complex is seriously overprices, usually. )

Driving 30 minutes one-way to Wright State was a pain and kept me isolated from the campus. Living less than 5 minutes from UNM and only 10 minutes or so from any classroom kept me in touch.
