I've "liked" a lot of things on facebook for a freebie, but, I've never got one thing I've "liked". Is that all you're supposed to do to get a freebie? I'm asking because I saw something I want to post here, but, you're supposed to "like" it on facebook, and you'll receive something, but, of course, I did it, and nothing happened. Am I missing something?

I believe once you "like" the page, there are more options on the page itself, particularly links to fill out your info, like name and address...

It has always taken me to a page with a form if the offer is still available. Got some good stuff from the Fb offers but you still have to be careful with the information you give out.

Ah, thanks. I guess I've never been to one where the offer is still good. I thought I had found us a good deal.

Jess, they either have a page for you to go to with an order form on it or they send you a link in email. So, make sure to use an email you actually plan to check....just some free email somewhere. I really haven't enjoyed freebies as much since they started the whole facebook thing. WHY would some milk company want to be friends with me? It's almost silly.

Companies know that they can lure a person into liking them by offering something free or give an opportunity to win a prize. In return they get to advertise on your page for free. They also know that once a person "Likes" a company they won't bother to remove them.

I agree, it's awkward because you have to spam your contacts with the company's info just to get the freebie, and then read all the "wonderful things" they decide to write on their site that go straight to your wall...

Wish they had a Hate button
Everything has changed to facebook.

Contests and Freebies wanting all your personal stuff then posting on your wall so you have to go back and remove all the stupid silly postings and apps on your homepage.

I HATE facebook!!

Especially now when you have to check in to places to get your freebie. A friend had to show his phone to the waiter the other day to get his free chips and salsa (Chili's). What happened to good ol' coupons? LOL
