Driver's license renewal time and I wanted to get the new Federal license. I could not locate exactly what I needed to bring on the State of Delaware website so I called DMV in Georgetown. After a few recorded instructions to click this and that I got a friendly live person who quickly and courteously told me.(Birth Certificate or Passport,social security card and 2 pieces of mail addressed to me).
I like to go early to beat the crowds.
I walked through the door around 8:45 and told the lady I wanted to renew my license. She gave me a ticket and told me they were calling me. I looked for the blinking light and went up.Things could not have gone any smoother. I was on my way out the door at 9am. I do remember some waiting time in previous years. They really seem to have it together now.
Of course going early does not hurt .

We had a similar experience when we got our DE licenses. Everyone was friendly & helpful. We even got a hearty congratulations on our recent marriage. We planned ahead and had all the required paperwork with us. In and out the door in 20 minutes, including a short wait in the chairs waiting for our number to be called. Kudos to the folks at the DMV in Georgetown!

I walked through the door around 8:45 and told the lady I wanted to renew my license. She gave me a ticket and told me they were calling me. I looked for the blinking light and went up.Things could not have gone any smoother. I was on my way out the door at 9am. I do remember some waiting time in previous years. They really seem to have it together now. 
Of course going early does not hurt .
