Just moved to Dover in April and I'm getting ready to start applying for craft shows to sell my handstamped cards and gifts. Any ideas of good ones within 25 mi. or so from Dover. Would consider Rehoboth/Lewes or Glasgow/Newark/Wilmington if the show is well attended. I don't want to spend more than about $50-60 or so for a table space, plus because my items are papercraft I can't set up outside due to potential nasty weather. Looking for something more around the holidays....November through mid-December.

Any ideas of good ones? I'm thinking it would probably be something done by a church or high school or something like that as most really large shows charge an arm and a leg for the table space. If it turns out to be a decent show for me I would definitely be going back each year.

Any help is appreciated!!

Both Hodgson Vo-Tech and Glasgow High School in Newark have two holiday (Christmas and Easter) craft shows a year, even though I think Hodgson's spring show was cancelled due to lack of vendor interest. You should be able to find some craft shows at this site: http://www.eventlister.com/DE

Thanks....I'll check those out.

I actually belong to craftlister.com (same site) and I find a LOT of shows listed there are in south NJ for "under 50 miles". Yeah....if you like to swim!! Ridiculous way to give you distance information. Somehow I don't think that Cape May is 46 miles from Dover unless you own a boat. That's why I was hoping that some people could maybe let me know about ones that maybe aren't listed there.

There is one in the convention center in Rehoboth every year. I didn't mention it because to be very honest I was very underwhelmed by what I saw. The only thing I saw that caught my eye was a felted wool handbag but the price was a bit on the steep side for my needs. As a crafter myself, although only for fun, I know how time consuming some of these things are and often flinch when I hear people complain about the costs. If I read about any tables I will let you know, but I personally would not bother with this one.

The Cape May Lewes ferry makes for a much shorter trip to Cape May from Delaware.
