It might come back to bite me with more traffic but it sure would be a nice honor for our busy town.

Vote for the Happiest Seaside Town - Coastal Living

Vote often.

WHY?
So we'll get MORE traffic, get MORE people, have MORE accidents, and I'll get to head down to the beach from Kent County LESS?
I voted for Stuart, FL and plan to do it often.

I don't know, I guess coming from Long Island the traffic is kind of like a splinter to me. I do agree that there is traffic and a lot of it, but it really is more of a source of amusement to me. Once Late March comes, the first of the "discussions" on traffic start popping up and so it goes until mid-October.

The place that I agree is a MAJOR concern is when an emergency vehicle needs access. I have seen people not move and turn in front of an ambulance and that is a problem.

I commuted into NYC for over 20 years via train and then for 3 drove on the L.I. Expressway, which is similar to the Beltway. It took me 35 -45 minutes to go just under 13 miles (10 on L.I.E and 3 on side roads) so I guess I am immune to it. That said, while I am not complaining, when I go back to NY, I always wish the roads were wider and faster as it would cut down my commute time, so maybe you natives are wearing me down on the traffic issue after all.
