We are building in the Millsboro area and am looking for opinions on the TV/Internet options. From my understandings some of the more popular options include; Verizon - Fios, DIRECTV, DISH, and Mediacom. We currently have Comcast and can not wait to do better!

So any opinions would be welcomed, if we are not allowed to post opinions in the thread, please Direct Message me.

Thanks

I would ask the realtor or builder. For example, we are in Rehoboth and have no choice - where we are, it is Comcast or Direct TV. The Direct TV for internet simply does not work for me.

Point being, depending upon where you are building specifically it may be a lot of choice or almost none.

I agree with nutsuiam. At all our past and our existing homes, your choice was limited by which provider was in your area. In our present home (in Maryland), we initially had Comcast alone for internet, but about 12 years later, Verizon Fios was run. Most developments we spoke to in our house search in DE typically had just one internet option.

Good luck in your quest for information.

Thanks, I did a search but probably did not choose words right. Thanks for the direction there rdlr

We asked the Builder about the choices which were Verizon, Satellite Providers DIRECTV and DISH and a company I think called Mediacom?

I have reluctantly had Comcast forever here because other than Satellite it is our only choice and Comcast provides a service level as you would expect knowing we are boxed in. I can't wait to cut this noose.

See if this link works...but you already posted there, I see.

I'm not much help. Our little town in Kent County lets us have whichever provider we want.

Thanks I forgot about that one although it's a Verizon vs Comcast race to worst. I have seen a few others now that I used different key words. Thanks again!!!!!!!

I'd start with Verizon. The service is very reliable. It has been for me, anyway. When you finally come to hate them as much as you now hate Comcast, you can consider other options.
