A dental implant is a 1-tooth solution to a 1-tooth problem.
A bridge is a 3-tooth solution to a 1-tooth problem.

I got a single tooth dental implant several years ago and have had no problems.

Thats a new one. Where did you find implants cheaper than a bridge? An implant is usually 3 times the cost of a bridge.

Are you equating a bridge with a flipper? They are two different things. I hated my flipper. It looked good enough but my tongue never accepted it as part of my mouth even after 2 years. It took almost a year for my tongue to accept my bridge but it finally did.

One tooth implant vs. four tooth bridge. The implant was technically more expensive coming in at half the price of the bridge. Permanent porcelain four tooth bridge, not a flipper or a partial.

I had a 3 tooth bridge for some yrs and it fell out...so I opted for a 3 tooth flipper vs thousands for implants...I like my flipper, love it, probably, one learns to live with they do if they don't want to into huge debt for teeth maintenance. It was one of the best decisions I made in my life for this rather inexpensive flipper 20 yrs ago.

Ok, but it seems like you are comparing apples and oranges. A single implant doesnt replace a 4 tooth bridge. It replaces a 3 tooth bridge, which is generally 25% less than a 4 tooth. But still usually more than an implant, IME.

Short roots, so the bridge had to go to the fourth tooth for stability. It's too complicated to go into which teeth where and why one was chosen over the other. We're hijacking someone else's thread.

Well the OP wants to compare pros and cons of implants and bridges, so not really.

I'm confused, a four unit bridge would be used to replace two missing teeth. If all you needed was a single implant then your choice would be a 3 unit bridge not a 4 unit bridge.
