I am transferring to the Denver area and am looking for at least an acre with a small house. How far would I have to commute and what kind of price range am I looking at? Thanks for the help.

There are all sorts of properties zoned for horses available for sale. It would be easier to find what you are looking for if you told us about your commute and price range, how many bedrooms and how many horses.

Two horses with a price range in the low $300's. Willing to commute up to an hour.

I just drove by this one:
COhomefinder | 9505 W 5th Ave Lakewood, CO 80226 - MLS #945192 - Home for sale at Colorado HomeFinder

The neighborhood is quiet but the house is next to 6. Appears to be a nice place though.

I was just up in Indian Hills today in an area full of horse properties..a tiny bit more expensive, but the REAL DEAL.. Places like Parker,Castle Rock, have already established their value and have become cliche'..Insiders know that the foothills communities are still unde rvalued and very accesible to the metro for less psf.If I was moving to Colorado for the real experience..it would be Evergreen.Conifer,Bergen Park, Indian Hills. I say this as a former area realtor and front range native..

There are lots of horse properties in that prce range in the Parker area. Here is a link to five listings that I think would meet your criteria: REcolorado.com - brought to you by Metrolist Inc.
