Hi, my husband and I are planning on moving to Denver and we are wanting to rent right now. We have a small dog and a cat, we also do want to live in a great neighborhood (preferably low crime) and I have been looking around and found this small but nice apartment at the southeast point of City Park. Is that a good neighborhood? I really don't want to live in a ghetto area. We are moving from Arkansas and you have to be really careful here because there are a lot of gangs! We do have a budget of around $800 a month because we are young and in school right now! If someone could please just give us advice on what areas are nice with great views and if this location will be safe, it will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you so much in advance!

South City Park is undergoing a bit of a transformation. The area near Colfax can get a little bit seedy but overall its not bad. Plus living next to the park is really nice. Gangs are not much of a factor in that area.
