If you do not go to Duffy's Cherry Cricket for beer & a burger, you are an idiot.

Seriously though, that place haunts my dreams. Unreal burgers and a massive draught selection. Can't wait to get back to CO to get my fix. As someone said, it can get really busy but if you go during off-peak times you'll be fine.

Prosit!

Cherry Cricket is on the list! That's one place I had already heard of.

I had dinner at Linger a few weeks ago and was impressed. The food was excellent and the VIEW of downtown is excellent as well. I'd definitely recommend this place. I'm not a foodie, but I went with foodie friends. It's a bit pricey, but excellent.

One of my all time favorites is "The Fort" in morrison...one of the best places around for bison and other wild game. Yes the buckhorn is great to...but this ranks right up there.

The Fort Famous fine dining restaurant located in Morrison, Colorado, Southwest Denver

I have been going there since I was a kid, anyone remember when they used to have the live black bear there? That used to be a big draw. Anyway the food is top notch all the way, well worth going to.

My wife and I are total foodies and this is our list of favorites compiled over the last few years. These are all in the Central Denver area about 5-10 minutes from Downtown.

Root down in highlands area - some of the freshest and most unique creations in Denver.
Izakaya Den in platt park - great sushi rivaling even some of the coastal cities.
Olivea - uptown area, have to get the salted caramel dessert if you go.
Linger in the highlands - best view in Denver hands down and as others have mentioned, it is THE place right now so you have to book about 2 weeks out unless you can go about 9:30 for dinner
Fruition off 6th ave - never disappoints and delish!
Vesta Dipping Grill in downtown - if you like to dip food, this is great too.
Mizuna off 7th ave - Frank Bonano's first restaurant in Denver. one of Denver's top chefs.
DUO in the highlands - amazing brunch
Snooze - great breakfast. Hit the one on Colorado Blvd.

So I've got reservations at Linger and Olivea. This is the first trip, so we'll have to hit some of the others on the next go 'round. I'll post my reviews here if you guys are interested....
