Default Comfortable and affordable (for us)

70° F in the heating season daytime
62° F in the heating season night

75° F in the cooling season daytime
83° F in the cooling season night (but it really does not matter as we open the windows at night and it always cools down the house below 75° F)

OK I guess I am keeping it too cold in the house at 60 degrees during the day and 58 at night. I just dont want a 400.00 heating bill but not sure how it works since we just moved here. thanks!

70, but my new place is insulated so well it usually even stays above that. That night where it was 14 degrees I think the heat kicked on once or twice

Usually around 62. I'm on the top floor though, so the heat doesn't have to go on very often.

65 Here... I work all night and sleep during the day so I don't set it very high.

Usually around 65 or so in winter, though if I happen to be at home during the day, I'll increase the temp to 68 or 70 depending on how cold it is outside and whether or not I feel cold in the house. The nice thing about my house is that it has excellent insulation compared to my former apartment, so my heating bills aren't nearly as high as they were at the apartment.
