I have been accepted for the Masters programs to study International Relations. Please help me decide where to go. I've never been to either area and am currently in Salt Lake.

The first question is, which program is better? The IR program at DU is indeed very good, and I know nothing about Monterey.

It's beautiful, but too isolated and quiet for me. Denver has more far more to offer across all categories except water .

I guess it depends also on what your requirements are for cost of living. Monterey and surrounding area offer some of the most spectacular scenery in ALL of CA. With that comes a very high COL price tag. That said, growing up in San Jose, Monterey was a quick excursion and after 20 years of living there I was still awed by its beauty. At any rate, I saw Monterey ranked as 18th or 19th in some top masters programs for international relations. I've heard it's student pop is predominantly female, like 64% or something which is interesting.

DU is a very good school and I see it ranked often in 'International Business this and that' (relations, studies, affairs, etc. etc..

For a decision this big I would think it worth it to take a weekend and visit each, I mean that's what everyone does for undergrad thus I would think it's just as important to visit for a master program.

If you're smart enough to get into grad school, you should be smart enough to do some research on your own, and post a more informative question telling more about your situation & what you're looking for.
